Our retainer is 9,6% of the ad spend we manage (12% on the SLA, less the 20% discount).
We have invoiced R65 000 a month all year. This page shows what each channel spent, what the fee should
have been, and what is left to invoice. Prepared 30 October 2026.

The step-up
July is where the budgets move: Google
$30 670 → $43 320 and LinkedIn $5 500 → $10 500. The monthly fee goes
from in June to from July.
January to June
The old budgets are smaller, so the fee was
closer to what we invoiced: those six months add to the year, against
for July to December.
Overspend
February ran $43 090 of Google on a
$35 000 budget and Meta R116 355 on R115 750. We have not billed the overspend.
03 Fee due against the R65 000 invoiced
Charged on the budget agreed for each month, which is the basis of the figure already sent.

Notes on the figures
Rand rate. The fee is dollar-denominated, so the rand figure depends on when it converts. Each
month uses its own month-end USD/ZAR rate, from 15,93 on 30 January to 17,07 on 31 March. The rate switch
above shows the same year at each month's average, or at a single 16,60: one flat rate overstates the fee by
about R7 400 across the year, so the per-month reading is the one to invoice against. Both are inside the
R17,30 written into the SLA, which prices the fee at R99 130 a month.
Months that read light. March (Meta to 30 March), June (Meta to 29 June), July (Meta general to
30 July), September (to 28 September) and October (Meta and LinkedIn to 29 October, Google to 30 October).
Those tabs carry a weekly note instead of a month-end line, so the figures are a few days short and the fee
with them.
LinkedIn in March and April is in no tab of any copy of the book. Both are priced at the $5 500
monthly budget, R91 300, and marked in amber. Confirm with Samantha before this goes to the client.
Meta is the three aspects together: the general campaigns, Trade and AAA, which is what the
R101 521,40 budget covers.
January to June budgets were lower: Google US$28 000 to $41 400, LinkedIn $5 500, Meta R153 250
falling to R115 750 and then R101 521,40 from April. The step up to US$43 320 and $10 500 came in July.
